The Clarification state allows the campaign manager/moderator to send the idea back to the author to edit the submission form fields based on moderator feedback. Once in Clarification state, the author is able to make the suggested changes and resubmit the idea. Resubmitted ideas always return to originating, pre-clarification state.
To send the idea to Clarification state, the feature "Send to Author for Clarification" must be activated in the relevant workflow states.
To send the idea to Clarification, the moderator must process the idea, select Change to State: "Clarification", and provide information as to what needs to be clarified.
The author will receive a task that will allow them to edit the fields they initially submitted. Once the task is complete, the idea will return to the pre-clarification originating state
