The Subscribing to Categories capability is designed to enhance personalization across the platform, by allowing users to subscribe to specific categories and receive tailored content and notifications based on their preferences, as well as being expose to personalized content on the homepage and in other pages.
This capability improves communication, engagement, focus and efficiency by ensuring users are always informed about the topics that matter most to them.
For example, someone subscribed to “Sustainability” will be exposed to related challenges upon login, while a user interested in “AI & Automation” will receive notifications about new challenges in that area.
In addition, this capability improves the searching and reach out capability for individua's, via the community page, when searching for users and/or via targeted bulk emails making collaboration and communication more effective.
Categories can be applied across all subsystems, including News, Features, and Campaigns. Initial setup will be defined by Qmarkets Professional Services team, while associated terms are maintained by the customer itself ay any time.

How users subscribe to categories:
Subscribing to categories is not mandatory, buy highly recommended.
1. Upon first log in, users will have the chance to select their relevant categories of interests.
2. At any other timing, users can subscribe/change their subscription from the user's profile page OR by accessing this url: <system url>/current_user#panel-menu-tab-1
