Overview
We’re excited to introduce a new feature that provides greater flexibility in managing roles at the campaign level. This update is especially useful for systems with multiple roles using the same subsystem to support varied workflows and processes.
Often, different roles are responsible for different parts of a campaign. However, in some campaigns, certain roles may not be relevant, especially when multiple state owners are evaluating ideas or when campaign managers want to take full ownership of the review process. In such cases, automatically assigning users to those irrelevant roles can create confusion or inefficiencies.
This enhancement addresses that challenge directly.
What’s New?
A new capability has been added to the “Roles & Auto Assignment” page (formerly known as the “Auto Assignment” page). This allows campaign managers to disable subsystem roles on all ideas within a specific campaign.
Key Behavior:
- When a role is disabled, users will not be auto-assigned to it.
- Manual assignment to that role is also blocked.
- This ensures cleaner, more efficient role management for tailored campaign workflows.
How It Works:
In the Roles & Auto Assignment section under the campaign settings:
- Each role (e.g., Project Manager, Supervisor, Idea Manager) can now be toggled on or off.
- The table displays the state ownership, Review Committee member status, and the assignment method.
- Disabled roles will show as inactive and won't participate in automatic or manual assignment processes
This visual and functional update ensures users only engage with the roles that matter for that particular campaign.
