In some cases, the Subsystem admins are automatically assigned to a role even if they were not explicitly assigned via configuration.

This happens because when a role has no users assigned it (either on the subsystem, the tenant or the campaign level), the system automatically assigns the subsystem admins by default. This ensures that no ideas are left with no one assigned to this specific role, preventing any gaps in responsibility or workflow.

Why Is This Necessary?

Leaving a role unassigned can lead to operational issues such as unmet responsibilities or critical tasks being overlooked. By assigning the Subsystem admins, the system ensures that someone is always in charge, even if temporarily.

How to Avoid It

To prevent Subsystem admins from being auto-assigned, users should be assigned to all types of ideas.
For example: If the role is assigned by a subsystem category, make sure users are assigned to all categories, as explained here.
If a role is assigned by the campaign category, make sure users are assigned to all campaign categories. as explained here.
