The system requires unique names for fields, roles, and states across all subsystems. This limitation exists since shared reports and tracking pages can pull data from multiple subsystems, and reusing identical names can cause confusion when viewing cross-subsystem data.

However, this limitation can be resolved in several ways:


  1. Slightly Modify the Name:
    Adjust the name to make it unique.
    For example: Instead of "Manager," rename it to "Project Manager" or "Team Manager" depending on the context of the subsystem.

  2. Use Translations:
    If you want the name to appear as your preferred term without modifying it, you can use overcome the limitation but translating the 2 different names to the same translation.
    You can use translation also if you are using a single language.

    In order to do that:

    • Navigate to Settings > Translations > Workflow > Roles.
    • Search for the name under the relevant tab, and add a custom translation.
