Welcome to Horizon by Qmarkets, an AI trend and foresight intelligence workspace.
Prior to our kickoff, we would like to collect a few setup details. With these in hand, we can configure your Horizon workspace in advance, so the kickoff itself can focus on a guided overview of Horizon and on training and onboarding your team.
The more you can share ahead of time, the faster setup will go. If anything is unclear or still undecided, leave it open and we will cover it together at the kickoff.
A quick note on terms: in Horizon, a topic is the subject you choose to explore, and the research is what Horizon runs on that topic, together with its results.
1. Users and Roles
Knowing who your users are and what role each of them will have allows us to create their accounts before the kickoff.
Please share your list of users and their roles, and answer the two questions below.
Each user can have one of these roles:
- Researcher – Can create new horizon topics
There is an option to limit the number of new topics per researcher. If this is relevant, please let us know what the limit should be. - Collaborator - Can access the research of all non-private topics, rate it and comment on it.
- Tenant Administrator – Can access, manage and edit all existing topics, manage Horizon settings and manage users.
User authentication
Please select one of these two options:
- Single sign-on (SSO) - recommended
Users will sign in to Horizon through your organization’s identity provider.
(see the technical details below) - Users will sign in with a username and password
User provisioning
Please select one of these two options:
- Any user in your organization who recievs the link will be able to join - recommended
If you select this option, please let us know whether new users should join by default as a researcher or collaborator. - Users can only be added manually, one by one, by the tenant administrator.
2. Getting to know your organization
The more Horizon knows about your organization and business goals, the better and faster results it will provide.
Please share any information you can, such as a corporate presentation, PDF or any other collateral that will help the research move beyond generic market analysis and build a more accurate company profile, producing more relevant and actionable insights.
3. Emails from Horizon
The more Horizon knows about your organization and business goals, the better and faster results it will provide.
Horizon sends emails to your users. By default, these come from no-reply@qmarkets.net. If you prefer, they can come from an address in your own company domain (for example, horizon@yourcompany.com).
Please select one of these two options:
- Use the default Qmarkets address (no-reply@qmarkets.net)
- Use an address in your company domain
This requires a few steps from your IT team (see the technical details below).
In anything is unclear, please contact your CSM.

Additional Technical Details
SSO setup process
Single sign-on setup usually needs inputs from your IT team, so raising it early avoids delays later.
Single sign-on (SSO): If you would like users to sign in to Horizon through your organization’s identity provider (IdP), please provide:
- Your IdP’s federation metadata, as a URL or an XML file
- The email domain(s) to associate with your Horizon tenant
- A contact in your IT team in case we need help with the configuration
Once we receive these details, we will set up the Horizon’s SAML application details
The direct sign-in link for your organization will be with your company name. For anything else, pls let us know.
Company email address setup – needed from your IT team
- Create a mailbox or service account for sending (for example, horizon@yourcompany.com)
- Enable SMTP login (SMTP AUTH) for that account. In Microsoft 365, it is turned off by default
- Share the following:
