If you are still not using Qmarkets startup database.
The system cannot prevent users from submitting the same company/startup more than once.
The user will only be notified about similär existing company upon submission, and encouraged to take a look at them:
However, if you are already connected the StartupDB...
Upon a manual submission of a new company/startup, the system will proactively suggest to you to connect to the relevant company, instead of manually adding its details.
In addition, by doing that from now on, the Information on this company will always stay UpToDate.
If you are already navigating within the Startup DB and trying to import/add a company to your portfolio:
- If this company was imported previously, the system will prevent you from re-import it by displaying this message:
- If a company with a similar name and website exists in your portfolio without being connected to any StartupDB record, you will see the following message:
It is of course recommended to sync between the records.
* In case you DO want to allow having the same company twice, you can configure it from the StartupDB setting as explained in the above mentioned article.
