One the default submission form setting on the subsystem level change, it will naturally impact new campaigns that will be created after the setting was changes.

This applies to new fields added as "Selected by default", the order of the fields, whether they are mandatory or not and more.


But...

When is it logical to impact existing campaigns? This is a trickier decision...
On one hand, we don't want the campaign managers to be surprised, or ideas in the same campaigns to be based on different submission forms....
On the other hand, we want to avoid manual updating of campaigns when not needed...


We believe we found the optimal solution:

Existing campaigns will be automatically updated once:

- No ideas have been submitted to this campaign

- No changes were done to the campaign submission form (i.e. it is aligned with the previous default setting)


Of course that the campaign managers and system admin can perform manual changes at any time :-)
