This error could be caused by few reasons:
1. The tab was open for a while
This error may occur when a user opens a form to edit or update an item, such as an idea's submission form, but does not complete or save the changes right away.
If the tab remains open for a while without any activity, the changes may no longer be saved due to safety reasons. Therefore, when submitting or editing an idea, please make sure to save your changes and avoid leaving the tab open for a long time without saving.
As long as the user saves the idea in draft mode, they can always go back and edit the idea at a later stage. There is also an option to allow users to edit the idea after submission, depending on the system administrator's configuration.
2. The item was updated while the form was open
While the form remains open, another update to the same item may be made, either by the same user in a different browser tab or window, or by another authorized user or moderator.
When this happens, the system detects that the item has been modified since the form was opened and blocks the second update attempt.
This is required to maintain data accuracy and consistency and to prevent conflicting or outdated information from being saved. It ensures that one user's changes do not unintentionally overwrite the latest version of the data.
