Once interconnectivity is enabled by your CSM and integrated into the workflow, authorized users can establish connections between entities like ideas, campaigns, and projects across different subsystems.
Creating new connections is allowed only to authorized users, and in the workflow states in which this feature is enabled as explained here.
Connecting Entities
There are several ways to create connections between entities in the system, depending on the situation and the workflow you are following:
Connecting an existing entity OR creating a new one from the interconnectivity section
Creating a new connected entity from the Call-to-Action area at the top of the idea/entity page- used when the entity you want to connect does not yet exist and needs to be created while establishing the connection.
This option is more noticeable and user-frendly.Using matchmaking suggestions - used when the system automatically identifies potentially related entities and suggests them.
This option provides a direct call-to-action and emphasis the importance of presenting the similar content.
The sections below describe each option and how to use it.
Connecting entities from the interconnectivity section
This option is useful when you need/want first to look for the entity to connect:
Click the + icon in the interconnectivity section:

A menu will appear, indicating the available content types and their respective subsystems. Choose the desired content type, such as Ideas or Campaigns. If there is only one option, it will selected automatically.

To find relevant content, enter the corresponding text into the search bar or use the filers.
The results will display relevant content ordered by relevancy.
You can select one or more entities based on the connection type (one-to-many or many-to-many).

Clicking the "Connect" or "Connect and close" button enables you to establish the desired connection.
When clicking "Connect" the connection(s) will occur, but the window will stay open in order to perform further connections.
When clicking "Connect and close" the window will close and the connection(s) will
.

There is also an option to create new entities that will be already connected to the current entity by clicking this button in the top of the window:
Creating a new connected entity from the "Call to Action" area
You can create a new connected entity directly from here:

For example, creating a new project from an idea that was approved, or creating a new idea that addresses an existing need or company.
There will be a dedicated button for each connection type.
Using matchmaking suggestions
Another way to connect ideas is to select on of the matchmaking suggestions generated by the system:

To connect ideas, click the connect icon next to the relevant entity. In the window that opens, choose the relationships type.

Disconnecting already connected entities is used by clicking the disconnect icon in the interconnectivity section.
